This hardy little orchid produces vespertine (night blooming) white flowers—thus its nickname of "Lady of the Night." The white blooms which, along with their pleasant fragrance, attract moths for pollination. The fragrance is described as "white floral"—a term often used for the strong (yet appealing) gardenia-like scent of moth-pollinated flowers.
